You get the full spectrum and that has to count for something. You have 4 very distinct seasons. I like it, but i still wine abit when it gets too extreme. :)

I detest summers.  There is no way to keep cool here, during the summertime.  Winters are the best.  I am not a happy camper until it gets to about 45F.

How do I handle it?  I complain a lot, I whine, I do everything in my power to avoid leaving an air conditioned space, I find excuses for opening the freezer for extended periods of time while I hover near it, and finally, I wear as little clothing as possible (just enough to keep from being arrested).

High 90's? I thought you said it was hot.:D

I guess being a Southern redneck I'm immune to it.
It's that hot here, and I haven't turned the air on yet.

I might this weekend.

Here at work, there is no AC. I just drink cold liquids
and work. I do have numerous fans about the place.

I can picture you giving everyone that opens the door to HTC HQ the evil eye :D

How does the HQ look from the inside anyway? is it a dark cold bunker or a regular building with doors windows and people inside? Ive only seen a sattelite photo of what i think is the right place on google.

Damp cloth and a fan.

Wipe damp cloth on face..aim fan at face.
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

Yes, I do.

The office is regional in that different areas are pretty different.

Super and Nate keep thier areas pretty dark.  I suspect they are hiding pizza and beer in there somewhere.
Sudz is well lit (the office, not him) and quiet.  Clean too,...too clean.  I have my suspicions, but have not been able to confirm them.  Anyone keeping a room that clean is suspect.
Rosie's is secluded, quiet, almost hidden.  Hard to know she is there.  She might not be, now that I think about it.
Pyro's smells.
HT's always looks like a tornado has come through it.  I suspect he is expecting one and wants to be prepared.
Mine is noisy and too well lit.  Imagine standing 3 feet to the left of the exahust of an F-16 on afterburner, then you have an idea of the ambience of my office.  I think they use 1000W lightbulbs (all 20 of them) in my office.  I know when I get home, it takes hours for me to be able to see, and hear again.

As i suspected... you live inside a modded server. Do they have to press the eject button at the end of the day to get you out thru the cd slot? :)

Dont you have any pics of the place? It cant be so bad that the world cant see...or can it? When I was a young and balanced man (about 28) i used to dream that HTC HQ was heaven on earth with all kinds of gizmos.

Personally, I don't do well in hot weather. Lived in Floriduh for a year, and coming from Minnesota, was similiar to putting a polar bear into a sauna.  I'm fortunate to live where i live now, no extreme heat, no extreme cold, just lots of rain.  Here's the 5 day forecast for example:
TODAY...AREAS OF MORNING LOW CLOUDS...OTHERWISE MOSTLY SUNNY. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 60S TO MID 70S. SOUTHWEST WIND AROUND 10 MPH SHIFTING TO THE NORTHWEST THIS AFTERNOON.
TONIGHT...PARTLY CLOUDY IN THE EVENING THEN BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY. LOWS IN THE 50S. NORTH WIND AROUND 10 MPH.

THURSDAY...CLOUDY IN THE MORNING THEN BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. HIGHS IN THE UPPER 60S TO MID 70S. NORTH WIND AROUND 10 MPH SHIFTING TO THE NORTHWEST IN THE AFTERNOON.

THURSDAY NIGHT...PARTLY CLOUDY IN THE EVENING THEN BECOMING MOSTLY CLOUDY. LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S TO MID 50S. NORTHEAST WIND TO 10 MPH.

FRIDAY...CLOUDY IN THE MORNING THEN BECOMING PARTLY CLOUDY. A CHANCE OF SHOWERS. HIGHS IN THE MID 60S TO LOWER 70S. LIGHT WIND.

FRIDAY NIGHT...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS. LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S TO MID 50S.

SATURDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS. HIGHS NEAR 70.

SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF RAIN. LOWS IN THE UPPER 40S TO MID 50S. HIGHS IN THE MID 60S TO LOWER 70S.

SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS. LOWS IN THE LOWER TO MID 50S. HIGHS IN THE MID 60S TO LOWER 70S.

Nils, the fan is usually my weapon of choice.  A neat alternative that works is lightly soaking a bandana or handkerchief in water and wearing it around the back of your neck. Evaporation cools the cloth, which cools the neck, which cools the jugular, which cools the brain. You can also modify a bandana with the stuffing out of a clean diaper. Holds more water and get a lot cooler.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

get yourself a industrial painters fan..

they sell them at hardware stores.

mine ran about 40.00 dollars (yeah i bet you say thats alot for a fan..) and she was worth every penny..

when i was at a rental about 10 years ago they only had wall bangers in the bedrooms and that was a problem..(in south florida its a problem)  this fan displaces so much air that even without the wall bangers on it would be cool in the house..  (acutally about 80-85f but felt under 80 with the air displacement)

get yourself one of these..

(above Url Broken thanks HomeDepot..)

on low setting the noise is so so..  very loud on the high setting.  but then again you have like 30 mph winds generating on high..

Funny how i now take central air for granted...  in SF its a commodity down here..
