Exactly why did HTC put the F4f Into AH? The FM2 is the same plane with bigger stabilizer and bigger engine. What purpose did they have in including the F4F?

Historical use, as in scenarios and the CT.  Actually, it's used quite frequently in the CT, and there's a similar special event thing coming up, I believe.

Within its proper time frame, the Wildcat is a lot of fun to fly.

Because not everyone either wants or needs the end all be all easy mode plane. Flying a plane that makes you "work for it" has its merits.

I think the FM2 only has 4 guns.  The F4f has 6.  I tried to take out the F4f a bunch of times thinking it was an FM2 with slightly worse handling, but did decently.  Not enough to warrant anything spectacular.

The wierd thing is that I've gone up against A6's and had wierd results.  Sometimes I spanked the other guy, just out flying him.  Other times I got crushed.  I couldn't figure it out.

The FM2 was a real suprise to me when I tried it. I have a fondness for early model planes and wanted to see what it could do. If you can make the other guy fly your fight, low and slow, you can out perform a considerable number of AH aircraft. You have to be able to fly reliably right up against the stall to be truly effective with it. Those tactics won't work against all planes like the zeke and they hurricane. Some spit drivers will get overconfident and can fall to the FM2 as well. It's a neat furball kind of plane and can be a real jaw dropper to those who like to mess with it in it's own best area, in the game of course. It has no bearing in the real world combat where it was easily taken out by more modern designs.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."
