Well I am a newb but i do know for a fact that they did change the 50s.
I played in AHI and you used to be able to take out a field gun with them. I know for a fact ....NOW YOU CANT!!!!!!!!!!!  I layed at least 50 rds into a field gun the other night with no affect....but 1 ping from a 20 cal takes it out....WTF????


IMO the pony is practically worthless now (remember im a newb) if you cant use it for jabo.

Azul, it takes five .50 rounds to kill a field ack.

 You laid 50 rounds into the gun and couldn't hit five, that's why thet don't die.

I had no trouble de acking a small field in a p47 last night.

You just can't hit the "pad" anymore ... you have to hit the gun. With .50 cals (armor piercing) you really have to hit the gun directly.

With the 20mm cannon (not 20 cal) ... its an explosive round ... therefore if a round hits close (doesn't have to be a direct hit) it will take out the gun.

Take some more time and learn how to ride the pony. In the right hands, the P-51 is probably the deadliest plane around.
