If you look at the quarterdeck of the PT boat, on the starboard side, you'll see there's a smokescreen generator. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Why not change that? That would IMHO make the PT much more useful than it currently is today. If the PTs could drive around laying smoke, they could make naval battles much more interesting by making it hard for CA gunners to see their splashes.
The smoke generator looks like the same type sometimes carried by planes to screen troop movements. It should therefore make quite a long, and long-lasting, stream of smoke, much more effective than the Pz4's smoke shells. Kinda like white airshow smoke, only trailing MUCH further behind and lasting a lot longer. Then maybe HTC could put the same smoke generator as a loadout for certain planes, which they could use in a variety of situations, like masking friendly GVs and field buildings.
