Finally got a break...
« on: July 07, 2005, 04:13:03 PM »
I've lost touch with a few former O'Club and AH BBs posters so in their interest I'd like to brag and boast that I am now a gainfully employeed professional pilot :)

AirNet Systems flying cargo in BE-58 Barons, PA-31 Navajos and C-208 Caravans.  Looks like I'll be trained in all 3 and designated a "Floater" which is what I was hoping for after talking to a few  friends currently working there.  Upgrade times from the 'inside track' looks like 8-10 months to the Learjet 35's and another year after that to 4 stripes :)

I get to stay in Columbus for training and then unless something happens and I am required to be assigned a route I'll be staying here once I start flying the line as well.

If anyone bumps into Jigsaw or Casca tell them I said hey :)

I haven't played much in game recently because I've been so darn busy instructing averaging over 100hrs a month the last 3 months I don't get time to play.  An awful lot of that 'instruction' is really corporate flying where the owner is just recieving dual...one of those guys who will probably get his private ticket at 150 hours because he doesn't have spare time to do any solo work.

Thanks for the kind words!

Very cool, congrats!  Keep your eyes peeled for me.  I'll be one of those dots on your TCAS that's 10,000 feet below you and has '1200' next to it.

I'm kidding of course.

I use flight following, so I get a squawk.  :D

Congratualtions Golfer.  I know this is the culmination of years of dedication and hard work.  I expect you will excel.  You are now entering the phase that the late great Ernie Gann referred to as "the tempering".

Fly safe.

There is nothing wrong with squawking 1200 Chairboy!

Just today I was bumping around the sky in the right seat of a 172 (like many other days!) and had just crashed onto the couch after getting home from the eye doc's for a checkup when the phone rang.  I plan on being a regular dink, squirrel, blip and dozen squawker for years to come :)

Now I just need to find that Pitts I've been dying to have :D
