For a change, I've been catching one WWII flick a week from Netflix, this week it was 'The Sands of Iwo Jima'.
While watching it, I noticed (during the Betio raid) that they used LVTs but their LVTs had one .30 cal on each side. Not wanting to trust Hollywood, I've been doing some looking and one site states them as having 1 .50 and 3 .30 cals.
LVT2 The above site states all the guns used a 'skate mount' which I'm guessing would allow them to traverse 360 degrees in rotation.
Which is correct, AH, the movie, or the site listed above?
(edit: the above site wouldn't allow me to directly link the LVT pic)
