Ah, my early memories of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance when I first entered the public school system bring a tear to my eye.

That marked the beginning of governmental brainwashing for me that continues to this day.

<SNIFF>, anyone have a hanky on them?  :p

blur, you couldn't be brainwashed. You lack the necessary brain to BE washed.

Look at the bright side, Blur... The U.S. Supreme Court has made it clear that students do not shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech at the school house gates. This includes not having to stand or make any other gesture of respect or acceptance.

Man, you gotta love the 1st Amendment.   :)

One nation under god... pffttt.

Flag day? Who cares?

Veterans' day, now... another story entirely.
But flag day is a waste of federal spending.

I don't believe the government spends any extra on flag day.  :)
