I always hated Zanardi.  No matter who I was routing for... Zanardi would beat them.  He was one of the best CART racers I've ever seen.

My prayers are with him.

I am saddened that he was hurt as bad as he was, but thankful that he did not lose his life.  I have never been a huge fan or the CART/INDY circuits, but anytime someone is seriously injured gives pause for thought and reflection, particularly in light of the past week's events.

He ruled CART. Horrible finish to his last race, which ironically he was poised to win, again.

His life was spared, if that is a feeble attempt to lessen the horrible accident.

Zanardi has had some scary crashes in his career.  He has some very impressive records in CART and will be sorely missed......
