Have a nice weekend!

I'm quite possibly off to the flying legends show at IWM Duxford tommorrow. Will take pics if I get there and the road doesn't sidetrack me.

Well ther road didn't sidetrack us. We made it to Imperial War Museum Duxford for the flying legends show. Fantastic. Well worth a visit if you are ever over here when its on.

The ride there was good. Weather was so so in the morning but glorious by flying time. What a show.

These were the aircraft there

Bearcat
Hellcat
Wildcat
Tigercat
P-51C Mustang
P-51D Mustangs
Corsair
P-40 Kittyhawk
P-39 Airacobra
Hawk 75
P-47 Thunderbolt
Spitfires including V, XIV, XIV & XVII
Hurricanes
Jungmeister
Hurricane
BBMF Lancaster, Dakota, Hurricane, Spitfire
Sea Fury
Gladiator
SAAB B17
B-17
B-25 Mitchell

The whole lot took to the air for a massed flypast. Only downer on the day was the digital camera went Kaput so I had to rely on a crappy APS camera. Got a few pics will develop them and see what comes out. Watch this space.

Dunno yet Nilsen. Got to get the film developed. Not to optimistic as my good camera broke and I had to use a cheap old snap camera. Will see what I can do with photoshop when I get the CD back. was a top day out. I recommend it. There was a  Gloucester Gladiator there painted up in norwegian colours.

The P47 was the fighter collection one based at Duxford. Did a great display with two B17s.

Also at Flying Legends today - not downloaded the pics yet but will post some if they are good enough.  Fantastic day - my favourite bits were the 8 Spits in the air together and the flyby of the 2 B17's with the two B25's.

Thought the display by the Tigercat was pretty impressive, and Ray Hannah in the Spit was bloody good too. Did the two Corsairs and the two Mustangs do the close formation thing on Sunday too?
