Can this button be used to double the functionality of the other buttons on the X45 (like you could do with the Thrustmaster HOTAS)?

Apparently lots of folks use it akin to the shift key - as you say it then double the available functionality of all the other buttons.

Too much to remember for me though. I use it to toggle WEP.

The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

trigger = fire mg
lower left on top = fire cannon
top red button = select bombs / rockest
lower right on top = toggle combat trim
pinky = toggle wep
lower right hat = 8 way views
upper left hat = 4 way hat programmed:
up = auto speed
left = display damage
right = select fuel tank
down = toggle gun zoom

on throttle:

index finger hat = 4 way hat programmed:
left = clipboard
right = auto level
down = mic channel
up = mic range
big orange thumb button = look up
mini mouse = 4 way hat programmed:

for the rotaries i have them as axis, meaning analog, and map them to elevator and aileron trim in AH

to map them you goto stick settings, and asign axis, scroll down and you will see the trims, map the axis you want and dont forget you have to calibrate them just like your stick / throttle / rudder.

Lets see...

trigger = fire both
lower left on top = fire cannon
top red button = toggle clipboard
lower right on top = fire MG
pinky = Look up
lower right hat = 8 way views
upper left hat = 4 way hat programmed:
up = Zoom in
left = left wheel break
right = right wheel break
down = zoom out
Index finger button: toggle zoom

on throttle:

index finger hat = 4 way hat programmed:
left = trim rudder left
right = trim rudder right
down = look down
up = toggle icon mode
big orange thumb button = Auto-climb
mini mouse = 4 way hat programmed:
up = flaps up
down = flaps down
forward = channel VOX
back = range VOX
mini-mouse button=WEP

The thumb axis on the throttle is my RPMs, main axis on the throttle is MP, third axis isn't being used.

No, I have WEP set to the Rudder 4 way left (from my POV).  Right is Gear, Down is flaps down, up is flaps up.
