Ok so are you make it all American guys saying you don't want this game to be played by other people in other countries?

Your attitude sucks.

Short Sunderland might be cool as well.

Yeah, I imagine that flying AH for a few years leaves me
absolutely no chance to make any observations about the
player base whatsoever.

I realize that I may have somehow missed the tens of
thousands of swedish players swamping the arena, but I'm
willing to go out on a limb here.  I stand by what I said.

When I start whining about non-American planes being
added, then you can tell me my attitude sucks.  Stomping your
virtual feet and implying you cannot fly because your country's
plane set is not completely represented doesn't impress me
much.

I have no idea if there is a limit to the number of aircraft or
vehicles that can be added.  In the mean time, I'm going to be
happy with what HTC provides.

Not stomping feet just responding to the all we want is American planes argument. I don't care what country the planes are from. But I do think US aircraft are a bit over represented. The plane set is generaly pretty good, but It if new planes were introduced this is what I'd like to see. Don't try turn this into some daft argument. Likewise  don't use this thread to make dumb "only American planes are good statements " As for your remark about the player base you may be right but think that if you are in the US then when you are playing its likely only to be US players that are on. Timezones anyone!? duh. When you are playing its likely to be gone midnight here in Europe! Come on use that old grey matter. Ok Enough.

Yes A wellington Bomber and an He111 would be good additions.
The reason I suggested a Meteor is that it would be good to have an allied jet to counter the 262. The meteor unless I'm mistaken is the only one to have actualy seen action in WW2. The fact its British is neither here nor there.

I would like to see the Tupolev Tu-2 added.  It's a nice highspeed (340mph) medium attack bomber with a bomb load of 8818lbs and  20mm forward guns and it's Russian!!
I think this would be a nice addition to the plane set.:aok

We have a russian planeset ???

2 Fighters and 1 attacker isn't a planeset,
especially not for such a big allied nation.

I don't say that. I think it's pretty cool that people from all over the world play this game and post on this BBS.

Talking to non gamers when it subject comes up and saying that the game I play has people from Russia, Great Britian, Japan, Finland and who knows where else all playing a single game the response is "Really? I didn't know you could do that."

I don't want to "Make it all American." That said, American manufactures did make a wide variety of aircraft with even more variants so there are more to pick from.

Do I think American iron is over represented? Hmmm, perhaps if you count the variants. The basic airframes for the most part were used in large numbers. Sometimes in the thousands.

I can also understand how somebody outside the U.S might feel slighted that aircraft from their country are not available or have fewer choices. A person wants to have their countries aircraft to fly in, at least sometimes.

A British jet, for instance, while unique to Britian, would not see use for the modeling time involved. I have never been able to afford the Me 262. As a novelty aircraft the 262 fills the bill.

The American GV'ers often say "We need a Sherman tank because thats an American tank."  But nobody would drive it once they die in it everytime they get hit and find they seldom can kill any other armor.

I'm sure that as the game progresses other aircraft that show up won't be always American. When I fly it is usually a Spit V unless it's mud moving.

i dont got enough perkies as it is and i like upen my lancs to kill 1 dang t 34 or wirble its fun droping 42 bombs

That is not particularly relevant really.  The fact that there are more American players does not mean that American planes are more desired particularly.  It may, but it may not.  The two are indirectly related.

I, for example, would like to see more Japanese, British, Russian and German aircraft.  A squadmate of mine, from Georgia lest my California address paint me badly, likes Japanese aircraft.  Pongo, from Canada, advocates for more American aircraft even though he is Canadian.

The nation we live in does not equal the fighters we like.

Ki-100

Since we already have the Tony, I'm thinking that adding the radial engine to it should be easy enough. I think it would be a popular plane.

Some peope don't realize whern they're gettin' thier chains jerked :lol

On a serious note, I wonder if there is a dearth of information on the Russian iron that is affecting HTs ability to build out that plane set? I'm sure we don't have that problem with the american stuff.

If I recall correctly a lack of internal photos stopped the Tu-2 from being added way back around v1.08, v1.09 days of AH1.
