Help -- skins, hi-res, and order of installation???

Okay I've had problems for a while now... I don't know why. I've wiped my cache and rebuilt it several times. Some planes, when I go offline and select different skins, always show the same default skin. Specifically this is happening with the 190As and F, and was happening with all the P38s and P51s as well.

Now, there are 3 files regarding skins. One is the high-res installation... Which, by the way, doesn't install high-res default textures on some craft (the new 190s default to 512x512). Anyways. Then we have the skins pack (100MB) and the skins pack add-on.

Is the order important? It says to install the large skins pack then the small one, but what about the high-res? Before or after skin pack is installed?

And is the order affecting my offline skins? I can't see them. I see them listed but when I click the drop box and choose a skin it just stays with the default skin. It really sucks.

Also, for 204 I downloaded the new hires skins pack, and then installed in this order:

AH203t204.exe
hires pack
skins large pack (100MB)
skins small pack (add-on skins)

This seems to have fixed SOME of the planes that would not let me see skins offline. However the 190A8 still shows skins, but will not apply the skins once I select one (all skins show the default). This is happening with the P47s/P51s now too, showing all the old skins (which I doubt will still apply to the new 3D model) but selecting them does nothing, the default skins are the only ones displayed.
