RAF Markings
« on: July 23, 2005, 04:17:34 AM »
Hi Guys,

A little advice please, I saw a link on here ages ago that showed the different Letters and Insignia used for WWII A/C, in particular I'm looking for RAF ones for the Hurri MK1 that I'm doing.

Any help would be fantastic, thanks in advance.

Thanks Bug, not the one I was looking for but excellent for research purposes, cheers.

The one I am looking for has all the different types of Lettering and Roundels and insignial, but not on Aircraft.

For example it has all the letters in an image that can be cut and pasted in an editor.

Thanks for that one I will bookmark it.

:aok

I have most of the RAF fonts as Truetype font you can install in Windows.
I also have RAF markings as a photoshop file.

They are from the now gone skinners heaven site.

If you want them let me have your email address.

Let me know if you got them.

Tip for doing the rear aircraft number.

Start off by doing it 2x size without anti-aliasing, then reduce by 50% using 'smart' size.

Squadron codes don't need this, just do proper size straight off.
