LOL!   Last night I jumped out of the Jeep and shot that same gunner. When he slumped over the 50 cal, it slewed around and sprayed me. Was rather humourous.

That demo is UNBELIEVEABLE in 1600X1280X32, very fluid.

I was never a big fan of FPS, but I haven't been able to stop messing with this thing all day.

If you want a real challange, try being a Soviet secret agent...let the officer blab to the partol, hop in the jeep and press eject when you get to the sentry and M-60 gunner up the road. Whack both of them, pick up the M-60. After that, all friendly units will start firing on you and it's alot of funy sneaking around and popping them off. And using the confiscated LAW on both the M113's and the truck

AK-47's blow, but the PK and RPG's sure came in handy when the four tanks rolled in

I did all the necessary tweaks of the code to make it possable to do all the things duma listed...but for some reason at the beginning if I try to run up to that jeep and take off, it wont let me in it, I also cant get into any other vehicles either...the only vehicle i can enter is the one i start in....   ?????  I used the HEX to change the setting from LOCK to UNLOCK BTW

Any ideas???

One cool demo! Very realistic, and real nice immersion. Watch T-72's roaring through the village from a window and ambush them with RPG's and much more like that. And it isn't too bad either that it's very stable for a demo, no crashes or anything. Definately worth keeping an eye on!

Wobble what do you mean by "shoot the guy with the LAW"?  You are saying to shoot a friendly?

yea funked, shoot the firendlies...but watch out, theyll sick that M113 on ya if its close by, and that basterd will run ya over if it doesent shoot ya first.  Taken on everyone, just hop a jeep and drive up on that mountin and snipe people, but again, be careful, once the figure out where yer at they will start encircling you and end up getting ya..attack, get in yer jeep and run, find another spot and shoot again... LOADS of fun.

Wobble, you have to exit the game and change the code each time you want to try another vehicle. Only takes a second once you do it a few times.

I tried to change my soldier to the M60, and then just go through the regular mission, but it wouldn't let me get into the jeep with my stupid CO.

Anyone know what's up with that?

IMO, its a great concept, especially if they make it into a massive multiplayer game.

What I dont like is the real crummy controls. UT:INF has a much easier controls.

And what's up with the crosshairs? Yuck.

When you change the code, it only applies to the vehicle type you entered. If you enter SoldierWMG, you will be an american with M60, and that is your 'vehicle'.

what he's getting at is that you cannot run the mission as normal anymore..if you change to saw SOLDIERLAW, you start on foot in the beginning, but when "leader" says "GET IN!" and he gets in the jeep, you cannot, it doesent give you the option..and he just sits there..until ya shoot him....then you also cannot get into ANY vehicles in the game, so unless you start in a vehicle..you will NEVER be able to get into one..and if you lose the one yer in, you cannot get another  ..
maby someone can find a tweak to allow that.

Well that is an awesome demo.  I have been looking forward to this one for a year or so, and now I am absolutely drooling!

I tried shooting friendlies but that M113 is pretty quick on the draw.

However I did pick up the LAW from a friendly who died and it was quite entertaining, as were various weapons from the enemy.

I had some trouble taking the first village until I figured out to grab the PK off the third trooper who comes over the hill.  It's maybe a little too accurate (I was killing running troops at 300 yards), but a lot of fun.  Pretty cool how the recoil was difficult when shooting from the hip, but no problem on the bipod.

I think the most entertaining thing I did was to hijack the Rooskie jeep (UAZ?) from the first village and then come screaming down the hill to the second village.  There was a whole squad running around behind the wire and I chased them all around and ran them all over.  Then some of the other enemies came to shoot at me, but it made them easy targets for the rest of my squad coming over the hill.  Watching the enemy troops run in circles trying to avoid my vehicle, looking back over their shoulder - Classic!!!

Thanks for the tips and links to the demo and the hack!

Hehehe, yeah Funked I think the most fun I've had is just running over the enemy...must be my evil side. I like taking a BMP and running over your COs Jeep at the beginning, then rampaging through the village going through fences, trees, seeking out the scurrying bastards   This thing is definitely on my 'must have' list.

Oh yeah - to change the fire mode, hit the space bar.  This will cycle between single shot, burst, full auto, grenades (if you have the 203 or Rooskie grenade launcher), and hand grenades.  See if you can get the "RamboPack", RPG and AK-47 with grenade launcher.
