now that we have analyzed the physics of it, and we all know it won't work, does anyone have any other information on this "group"?

i guess i should have stated more clearly... "is this for real?" means, are these people really that stupid, and have the sucked other people into their stupidity collective? is there even 10,000 people in this world signed up for this? wouldn't the news get out somewhere it wont work? and a myriad of other rehtorical questions that could be asked about this LMFAO :lol

Who knows how many "id10ts" they will bring into their foolishly stupid idea but because they frame it in the retoric of the New Urban Religion, i.e. Environ-mental-ism, they will get people to blythly participate.

Any idea famed in the context of "Saving the Environment" is accepted without question by these folks.

I always wondered if the launching of the Space Shuttle caused a miniscule alteration of the earth's orbit.  Surely something of that mass pushing against the earth would do something wouldn't it?

It's not actually pushing against earth.  Through action/reaction, it lifts itself up off the ground.  During the first few seconds, there might be a push against the earth where the exhaust it hitting it, but considering that roughly 10,000 tons of meteors hit every day, any affect the shuttle might have is subsumed into a stochastic void.

Umm, it does. It propels the shuttle up at such a velocity that it can achieve orbit. Equal and opposite reactions and all that jazz.:D

'Course, it's all relative. Could be that it's staying put and pushing the whole universe "down"...
