Hi Star,
>I dont remember HiTech or Skuzzy or Pyro ever coming on the BBS and asking our opinions on color schemes or taking a poll on themes.
Maybe they should have.
>Personally, I enjoy this. Hopefully, you will too after you get used to it.
No way. Quality is absolute.
Note the poor rendering quality of the stencilled letters due to anti-aliasing, clearly visible when you magnify the bitmaps (and responsible for an annoying lack of clarity in the original size).
Note also that some of the colours have already been changed from what they were yesterday, the yellowish hue of the listing is gone for example. Black on dark olive still sucks when it comes to legibility, though.
Then the bloody icons ... tiny targets on 1600 x 1200 resolution even with the display cranked up to 120% zoom which is just fine for most other sites, and I don't see a shred of sense in using a "pencil on paper" icon for "edit post" and a "move sheet of paper to the right" icon for "answer post".
That's just functionality ... don't even mention looks!
Ironically, the overall theme implies the Army has taken over the Air Force again, and the Navy with it. That's the exact opposite of the historic trends that had begun before WW2, continued through the war and lead to independend air forces all over the world after WW2.

Henning (HoHun)
