Me and my mate were considering hiring a car and checking out the rest of the country, but we're trying to make the trip as cheap as possible so it looks like we'll be staying in prague. I don't mind walking everywhere i walk a lot anyway.

I am looking forward to trying out the food and beer........and the girls:D

PS: I tried 3 hotels, and the best deal I got was the "Empire hotel", close to the Mariott. It's about the same price (most are around 100 Euros/Night) and this one was the best of 3. Needless to say: Avoid hotels in the old town (Stare Mesto = Tourist town). Beer & food are incredibly cheaper than here, but the hotels are in the same price range as UK (ouch!).

I booked a hostel for 65 quid for the week- bargain!:) No food though so i'll be buying breakfast every morning.
