Author Topic: Anyone seen the meteorite about 11:25 pm central saturday night? (Read 296 times)

On my way home, seen it in the north sky from my point in southern IL about 40 degrees above the horizon. It was a dull white color, lasted at least 5 seconds (maybe longer, I just caught the last 5 seconds of it.) Headed downward to earth at what appeared to be a 25 degree angle. Dont know how big it was, but still it was pretty neat to see.

Funny part was I kept watching it get closer and closer to earth before it burned up, thinking "Holy crap its gonna strike."

Watched the shuttle reentry over Texas one crystal clear night. It was the most awesome thing I've ever seen. I thought an airliner was on fire. Flames streaked 3/4 of the way across the sky.

Are you sure it wasnt bush heading to crawford? He goes there like 10 ten times a year, ya know.
