I wish the RC simulators had a cost more in line with regular software. Paying over $200.00 for a sim of RC planes is more than a bit steep.

How about free?

Linky

i suspect these folks make their money on custom aircraft additions and or selling the interface cables for standard FM R/C transmitters so they can be used in place of Joystick controllers.

The hard part in learning R/C is defeating control reversal.. simulator time defeats this, and you don't need a 'real' RC Transmitter to overcome control reversal, so your normal joystick oughta work just fine.

haven't tried this one out.. lemme know if you like it.

Ah, Tondelayo.... one of the most famous of the 345th aircraft!

Looks very nice!

Id put a video recorder in there if it could handle the weight! Imagine how cool it would look mounted right behind the pilots looking forward.

I think I may have seen that plane at Bomberfield outside of Houston last year for a big fly-in they have.  There were hundreds of scale warbirds including at least 7 or 8 B-17s flying around.  It was pretty cool.  They also have a huge scale model of a Russian Bear bomber but they couldnt fly it the day I was there due to a messed up servo and nobody in attendance had a spare that would fit correctly for them to repair it.

Nope. That's Suzie Phillips. She crew cheifs, spots and generally enjoys the hobby as much as he does.

A 'keeper'. ;)

For sure a keeper in that case.

I could never get into modelling like that....my wife would go bananas and so would I, trying to keep the kids from breaking it.

Hang,

Thanks a bunch for the link. I had no idea there was one available. We're getting delivery of our new RV this Saturday and we have to drive 300 miles to get it on Friday so I won't get to play with it for a bit. :aok

I wonder if that guys wife modeled for the "nose art"??????

LOL.. not a new idea.. I've had a video camera in our company L-21B for years. we've even got a linked telemetry & video setup so it can be flown and landed via the camera view. comes in real handy for 'formation flying' too.. defeats the risk of a mid-air due to mis-interpeted depth perception at distance.

freaky-deaky way to fly, lemme tell yah!
