In the case of the P-39 I think it would be acceptable. The Cobra was much more loved and put to much better use by the Russians than it ever was by the US.

No. It's not anywhere near the level of quality of AHII.

P-39 AirCobra I can see being used in the MA.

Probably the only Russian fighter they need to add, the rest being bombers.

Everything?

Ok, better flight models by far.  Better ballistics modeling.  Better graphics on the units at AH2 graphics standards, more of which exist each new version.  Heck, most of the old graphics are better as Fighter Ace uses the hideous, disjointed photo textures on everything.

AH2 is just so far superior that an comparison is laughable.

Sunking,

I think the I-16-24 might see some use too.

Only, it's not russian... and it wasn't until the lend-lease got going that they had it.. We currently have no early VVS aircraft at all... So, for example, you can't have any early-war setups where the Germans invade Russia, because there just aren't the proper historical aircraft.

I'd love to see a "first-strike" type of scenario/setup for vvs/lw, but I don't think we will have the planeset for some time.

True but I think it's a plane we need and we can put it in the "Russian" plane set and still get away with it.

All of those planes are great.  BUT I would like to see the KI-44 introduced.  Give the japanese a good early war plane and... well I just like it...:)

The japanese *have* a good early war plane. It even climbs 10x better since AH2 changed the way things work. It's the A6M2. It's nearly unbeatable in a turn fight. Heck the 2 even out turns the 5.

Also the Ki-44 is mid-war, not early war.  The two early war Japanese fighters are the A6M2 and Ki-43.

The Ki-43 was the open cockpit deal, with the fixed landing gear, right?

No, that is the A5M.

The Ki-43 looks a lot like a smaller, less advanced Ki-84.

The A5M and Ki-27 did see some service, but very little as they were at the tail end of their service lives when Japan went to war against the US and UK.  They saw a lot more service against China before they attacked us.

Saburo Sakai got his first few kills in the A5M1.  The A5M, Ki-27 and Ki-43-I were armed with two 7.7mm machine guns.  The Ki-43-II-Otsu was armed with two 12.7mm machine guns.
