Hi,
Not sure whether this should be in the bugs, so I thought i'd ask here first.

yesterday I flew a couple of IL2 sorties where I landed 2 kills and ditched 3. Was just looking at my bomber score (which is what I have the IL selected as). And there has been no change to since about 2 days ago when Hapstur was beating my TBM around the head with the 5"

So any ideas? So i post this in the bugs?

First guess is that you scored the sortie as an attack run. Second would be that you used guns, not ordnance to kill the gvs. Third and least likely, imo, would be proxies, ie gv's bailing out, random n00b augering etc. I don't believe those score in your stats/score sheets, but I could be mistaken.

Yes, IIRC proxys count as far as score is concerned. They just dont pay perkies.

Kills in bombers dont count when shot with guns???? Thats new to me.

My guess would be that score page just hasnt been updated yet.

think the way it works is if you are in bomber mode gv kills won't show up as kills in your score. only airplanes will show as a kill.

you might get damage points for gvs, cause you did do damage. not sure though

i fly the IL2 in attack mode, that way any kills show up on score page. particularly since i mainly fly it to kill gvs

Always score it as "Attack". Then the score works in your favour.

In bombers NO kills from the forward firing guns show up as "kills" if you score as a bomber. For some reason only the gunner positions will show on your score when you get kills. I've noticed this in the A20.

If you score yourself as an "Attack" plane, it shows up in your attack scores.

I should make that clearer. If you are in the pilot position, and your bomber has guns that shoot from that position (A20, B26, Il2, etc) you will not get kills show on your score, if you are scoring as a bomber. You only get those kills show up if you score as Attack. Bombers (for some reason) are setup to score kills only if you get them from a gunner position.

ok. thanks for the reply guys.

For info, I checked, the IL is set as bomber, and I killed all 5 with either bombs or rockets.

Another feature I now know.

I am not sure if that is right Star, I have been flying the IL-2 alot as of late just for fun and it is a good tank buster. I have numorous hops that I land 2 or more kills in it and have killed some good planes in it. With a 5 kill hop, I had a Dora, 2xSpit V, Hurri IIC, and a Niki...... got roughly 15 perks for the run and never fired from the tail gun because, well... the gun was broke? Not sure if it was because of number on that night or what, but it is scored I think basically as to what you have chosen to score it as. Either Bomber or Attack. Attack I know is just for Ground Targets.... but why is it different if you choose to score as a bomber and make all your kills with your front guns? Besides, that tail gun is useless! Take that away and give me two more eggs!!:aok
I am sure you know more on this than me, I just enjoyed getting the mass amount of perkies!!

Any info on it is greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure proxies show up on stats, but not on score page.

It still says you got kills when you land "SA2 landed 2 kills in an A-20 .............blah blah blah"

But when you go to check the K/D and kills on your score, there are no kills listed. If you shoot someone down as a gunner, it shows up, but not using the pilot controlled guns. Then there was another issue that some of them seemed to show 1 kill for every 3rd kill you got, like each one was 1/3 of a kill or something. It was too confusing for my simple brain to handle.

I just accept that there is a problem, it was acknowledged, and someday it will be fixed.

When you check your score in the game, and selcet the pilot/score/etc.
Or in the Hi-Tech site?

In the game. Dont know about the website, I rarely use it. I used it last month for the contest to keep track of K/D but thats the most I've used it in a long time.
