CH Fighterstick Probs
« on: August 16, 2005, 10:42:11 PM »
I'm having problems with my joystick....  I have a CH Fighterstick and CH Pro Pedals.  When I first connected the joystick and got on AH, the thumb hat buttons didn't work.  Then I went into the "select joystick" area in setup and enabled all buttons or something like that.  Now my buttons are all farged up and no matter how hard I try I can't get em back to normal.  Seems to me that maybe AH doesn't support all of the buttons this stick provides???  I have no idea how to fix this - I'd love to have it back to the way it was before or at least start over again.  How do I do this???

In the "select joystick" area, did you set up the buttons?
After, roll, pitch, yaw, ect. there are Button 1 Button 2 etc.
Did you set those up to buttons on your stick?

Well there is where I'm having problems - I have tried to do this, but somehow the buttons get all farged up.  The trigger button becomes button 0, some buttons cause 2 to work at same time.  I can't quite figure out what I'm doing wrong here.....  You could suffice it to say I'm confused at how the button setup deal works!

Did you check if your joystick is recognized correct in windows?
When its not right in the windows game controller list it wont work, start from there.

Its possible to have a joystick button (e.g. the trigger) set to 2 AH buttons (e.g., Button1 and Button 18). I'd go through all the joy stick buttons and make sure they are not set to any AH Buttons, then start from scratch.

Thats what has happened....  I will try to remedy it once again today - spent about 2 hours fooling with it last night.  Everytime I press button 4 it also presses 18, so it does them both at same time.  I'll try what you say, thanks for the help!
