I've been reading Seagoons threads for quite some time and I have to say that I've never seen him push his religion on anyone.  Although I don't always agree with everything he says, his posts are always thought provoking and done in a civil manner.

Think of the O club as cable TV.  If you don't like a particular thread, change the channel.

No one is forcing you to read every single thread.

I beleive the anti-religion threads far exceeds the religious threads.
  I think Seagoon is one of the best things that has happen to this place.
If you don`t like em, don`t read em. Pretty simple concept actually.

The O Club and AH is better with Seagoon than without him.    I was baptised Roman Catholic but I have not attended church in many years.          The O club is for off topic conversations from religion to sports to anything other than the game.    

I read Seagoons post about his friend who is the black minister or preacher.    I thought it was a good post and well thought out.            In his defense he is allowed to create such threads just as anyone is allowed to read or not read his thread.    


I enjoy reading just about every thread that pertains to me here on the O club no matter what the topic may be.     Makes for good reading here at work killing time on the late shifts.

Ya,  the main reason I read the O'Club threads is because of the information offered up by such a diverse base of knowledge.  I honestly feel lucky that we have such an intelligent base here.

To try to limit this knowledge base would be a shame.  Especialy, a topic that is so deeply imbeded in our culture.  I don't prescribe to Seagoons religion, but whether you believe in what is offered up or not... it's good that it is available.  Any information is good to have...  because you still get to choose for yourself how you see it.  Especialy by a guy like Seagoon, that is able to present it in such a classy way.

Hawklore, I might suggest that you DO read some of his threads... if only as an excercise in being able to look at a different view point without feeling theatened by it being presented to you.

Correct.  But if you have faith in what Christianity teaches, then you believe it IS a fact.  If you dont have that faith, and you dont believe, then its just a belief someone else has.  :)

I like Jack Daniels.

This bum was digging through the trash and he found a lamp. Well he rubbed it and sure enough a genie came out. Well, that genie gave him 3 wishes.

His first wish is to be rich beyond his dreams. POW Gold and money are all over the alley. Bum says damn, My next wish I want a bottle Of jack daniels that always fills back up. POW Liter O jack in the bums hand. He Says I gotta check it out and chugs it. Sets it down and sure enough, it fills right back up.

The Genie asks "What is your third wish?"

The Bum answers, "Another one just like it"
