Just bought the wife a brand new Chevy Cobalt. Paid 17.5 for the LT model with onstar and the upgraded MP3 stereo and the sunroof and the leather seats and seat warmers (what the hell are those for?) and on and on...

I think it was a sweeeeet deal.

A couple of years ago I bought a Volvo with a CD stereo and sunroof and the leather seats and seat warmers (for my cold butt on winter days) and on and on... for about 1/10th the price.  I don’t need full coverage because if I destroy it I can just buy another with all the money I saved.  I also bought another set of used rims and put on some awesome Finish studded snow tires so it will out turn or out stop my Ford 4 X 4 in the snow and ice; it probably accelerates better too.  I can live without the MP3 player, Onstar and the shiny paint etc.  The darn thing probably depreciates a couple hundred dollars a year…

I think it was a sweeeeet deal.
