This just out on ESPN.com....Read on....

(AP) -- GAINSVILLE, Fla -- For the second time in as many Gator games, Florida coach Steve Spurrier announced on Sunday that his team was once again considering litigation against its opponents.

Following the Gators shocking 34-32 loss to Tennessee in "the Swamp," Spurrier stated he was giving serious thought to suing Tennessee's headcoach, Phil Fulmer, and starting running back, Travis Stephens, for intentional infliction of emotional distress.

"Travis Stephens and the UT offensive linemen were coming right at our guys with clear intent to knock them down," a teary eyed Spurrier said.

"You've got to wonder if their coaches are teaching them to do this.  We're sick of this crap and somebody's got to say something about it."

Spurrier also indicated that he may sue the Southeastern Conference official who kept a first quarter Tennessee scoring drive alive by penalizing the Gators for a late hit when UT quarterback Casey Clausen was nailed five yards out of bounds.

"Everybody knows that the Gators don't ever make late hits."  Spurrier said while absentmindedly scratching his diaper. "If we did, that would make me a big hypocrite."

Reached for comment on Sunday, 'Vols coach Phil Fulmer said he was not concerned about the suit because he did not believe Spurrier or the Gators could prove any damages.  "They should be used to disappointment by now, it's as much a tradition for UF as Albert the Alligator or marrying your sister," Fulmer said.  "After all, they couldn't even win a conference championship their first eighty years of existence,  they only have one conference title in the past five years, Spurrier has a losing bowl record, and they haven't beaten FSU in Tallahassee since Ronald Reagan still knew what his first name was. When's the last time they've won the SEC and a bowl game in the same season?"

UF Athletic Director Jeremy Foley supported Spurrier's right to file the suit, and denied rumors that Gator boosters were considering purchasing a gold plated pacifier so that Spurrier could suck while pacing the sidelines during games.  "We are giving some thought to changing the school's mascot, though, since the 'Gators' moniker hasn't brought us much luck," Foley said. "The 'Fighting Crybabies' sort of has a nice ring to it."

Spurrier denied speculation that UF would try and have Tennessee removed from the Fighting Crybabies' schedule as the University of Miami was in the 1980's after UF could no longer beat the Hurricanes.  "I'll tell ya what though," Spurrier said. "If we keep missing out on SEC title chances I'm probably gonna have to take my ball and go home."

lol

good one Fatty

just wondering what UT's loss to LSU is going to do to those bowl computers

It'd been better all around if they'd just lost to the Gators like they were suppose to  :)

Naw, I love it confused for the computers.  There's no way they can get a mess this dreary straightened out, so it means more teams feeling slighted, and more pressure for a playoff system.

Almost even wish BYU beat Hawaii so they'd be cut out undefeated, but not quite.

LOL!  priceless!

Playoffs won't happen for some time, and even then, they'll still be screwed up somehow (cuz the folks with the money just wanna make more money.  they don't give a rat's bellybutton about the game, IMO.)
