I agree, although the La-7's we ran into, including your group Filth, did suprisingly well at altitude, it was still really no match, and just a matter of time. I felt about as safe in this frame as I do in late war Pacific scenario's flying US planes. At 15K+ in almost all the Axis planes, your above the separation level where the Russians compete only with great difficulty.
Of course, JB42 observed correctly, both the La-7 and the version of the 109G-10 we have are way more rare than we have represented them here. Unless the restrictions are measured carefully, the CIC's will always use the best planes available. This one I think was just one of the few scenario's where the cookie jar was left open on purpose. I had a great time in every frame.
