Instead of all maps starting off with full icon (large/medium/small/VH/port) icons, why not have only front line bases be specifically known, and all the rest our marked with the countrys symbol until identified and typed or radioed into the strats...for realism i think this would be pretty cool, but unfortunately most people are in here for the "game"... maybe TOD? im also pretty buzzed right now, but comments? and any other suggestions to add?

would a country be able to see what kind of bases they had and the enemy would just see a base number or something?

exactly....Countries would know which bases they have at the start of the war, but we would not be able to identify what enemy bases were until some intel...which could lead to some interesting things.....perhaps if someone to report wrong? a large airfield could really be a small airfield? i dunno whats eveyrone think

Well... from what I've read on the boards... some idiot would just change sides....bounce around and report all the bases to his countrymen. In theory I think it's a cool idea. Maybe if they make it 172 hours before a country switch people might knock that stuff off and make an idea workable. Kinda messes up the switching sides to equalize the numbers though..

I think they should make it so the bases switch what types they are on maps, one map might have a small airfield, then they next time it comes up that base is large. The bases are also random offline so it wouldn't really matter if they flew around offline.

So, thinking a field is small and not big because some one reported wrong effects you how? In any case, all the fields would be reported within an hour or so. More over, next time the map is up, people will remember where the bases are.

What will happen is a .gif version of the map will be made available by yet another 'arm-chair general'.

Not to mention, it wouldn't encourages fights... if you did away with dar bars it would make the issue worse.

The only difference it will make it people will need to look away from the monitor instead of just hitting .
