I just put a rubber washer in the cavity where the upper side of the spring locates. A large tap washer will do.
This pre compresses the spring and makes it a bit stiffer.
Spring feed back at the end of travel is a bit more noticable now.

Hmmm....
Do you have to take it apart or did you cut the washer and pop it on that way????

I cut the washer......the spring holds it in place............ its easily reversable
