Nvidia SLI Profiles
« on: August 14, 2005, 12:19:39 PM »
I have a new AMD 4000 series with the dual core processor and 2 Nvidia 6600GT SLI video cards.  I was told I need to build a profile for the game?  Anyone already do this?

you can help you game play and reduse micro warps and improve FR...give it a try...works for me....HERE WE GO
1st...go to...start/controle panel/performance and maintenance/system/....click on the hardware tab then on hardware profile then on profile 1 click "copy" and name it aces high and click ok.
Then....still in performance and maintenance click on administrtive tools...then services
you will see a large list of services on your computer.....double click on the first service then click on the log on tab...there you will see profile1 and aces high listed....click on aces high and then disable to disable that service (leave profile1 alone...it is your backup just in case)and so on and so on

I think he was asking for the SLI profile for the Nvidia drivers to activate the SLI features for using 2 videos cards vers only 1. Not an XP startup profile.  But U did help me some with that, thx. hehehehe.

it says in here ...on each service listed on your computer..double click on it then click on the "log on" tab.....then click on the profile you named.....then click disable, then ok...now go to the next service on your list and do the same thing. do this all the way down your list till all the services you dont need while playing aces high are disabled......be careful what you disable...if you do something wrong you can log on under profile1 and fix it.

AH doesn't support SLI technology, so his second card will never get used in this game. I have an SLI card and posted a topic asking AH if they supported it before I built my new PC and they told me no. So I just upgraded on vid cards and only put one in. Then if AH ever supports it in the futue I can just go out and get another card. Figured by the time they support SLI,my 6800GT I have now will be 1/3 the cost for the second one. Why buy two if one will never get used. Unless you play other games that support it.
