Skuzzy any ideas?
« on: August 18, 2005, 07:15:12 PM »
Skuzzy: I just installed a new GEForce 6600GT vid card. The original drivers were 66.93 and I upgraded the drivers with the latest from Nvidia 77.77. When I first installed the card and fireed it up, I got these confetti-like things on my display when I loaded AH2. I then changed the drivers to the 77's and a day ago, there were no confetti things. I fired up the PC today and loaded up AH2 and the confetti appeared again and didn't go away.
Do you have any idea what this problem is, and how I can get rid of it? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Artifacts like that are usually due to poor power to the video card, overheating of the video card, or defective RAM on the video card.

When you get tired of driving that van JT, I know where you can stop and drop off that Blue Bell.  :D

Turns out I don't need a new PS, at least not right away. I simply changed the forceware drivers from v 77.77 back to 66.93, and no more weird, far out and freaky confetti :) Thanks for the help folks
