3. Say things like, "This is the way we have always ridden this horse."
4. Appointing a committee to study the horse.
5. Arranging to visit other sites to see how they ride dead horses.
6. Increasing the standards to ride dead horses.
7. Appointing a tiger team to revive the dead horse.
8. Creating a training session to increase our riding ability.
9. Comparing the state of dead horses in todays environment.
10. Change the requirements declaring that "This horse is not dead."
11. Hire contractors to ride the dead horse.
12. Harnessing several dead horses together for increased speed.
13. Declaring that "No horse is too dead to beat."
14. Providing additional funding to increase the horse's performance.
15. Do a Cost Analysis study to see if contractors can ride it cheaper.
16. Purchase a product to make dead horses run faster.
17. Declare the horse is "better, faster and cheaper" dead.
18. Form a quality circle to find uses for dead horses.
19. Revisit the performance requirements for horses.
20. Say this horse was procured with cost as an independent variable.
21. Promote the dead horse to a supervisory position.

Maybe I missed it IN the now CLOSED thread... but I'm pretty sure HT said no already (at least once) ;)

Night was better than the perpetual dawn/dusk sun-in-your-eyes that seems to be the norm during prime-time. But I'd rather see more weather effects than nighttime.

After reading the posts from DaddyAck about night time, wind weather, and the numerous, sometimes heated responses, And also after seeing Hitech's reply....I still am in favor for night and weather and wind.

In AH1 you had to pay attention to where the wind was comming from.  Take off down wind in fully loaded Lancs and you quickly ran out of runway.  So there had to be a little pre-flight planning done.

I don't think I ever saw rain on the wind screen, but the lower cloud layer definitely added some wrinkles to both offense and defense. (bombers couldn't see through the clouds, Ftrs couldn't see the bombers)  Oh you knew the enemy was there because of DAR, but it added a little more ..."difficulty" if you will.

The number one gripe I hear about Night Time is that it will be used to "sneak around and hide from fighting...", or something to that effect.  Granted, there may be some of that, but I think the majority (and I may be speaking out of turn) of the people that want night time back actually enjoyed the added difficulty associated with flying at night.  It's harder to bomb acurately, harder to find the bad guys, much harder for the GV's to find each other, or for the manned ack or shore batterys to find the enemy.

I know this horse has been reapeatedly beaten and is completly unrecognizable to it's friends and family, but IMHO I think that night, clouds and mabey even some light rain would be a fun addition to what is already the best flt sim game on the net.

Sorry HiTech for dragging a closed thread into this post, but it looked to me that there were more replys in favor of the additions than against.

However, all of this being said.....You are still the Boss, what you say goes, and I respect that....even if I don't fully agree with it.

Just my thoughts.

Respectfully

NAVCAD

You veteran pilots are forgetting the new guys.  You know, the new people who are still trying to "just survive" all the people who help boost your stats with easy kills. You know the guys you like to call dweebs and noobs....  Add night, make it more difficult.... yea, great idea, NOT. If you want to make things real, buy a real plane.

Never liked night because you either had to tab out of the game and turn up gamma or log or change arenas.

Now that HT put gamma right in the in-game interface I really don't care.

Be funny to make all the milkrunners go boom and they never see you.

I recall the 262 was alot of fun during gamma time. ;)

I'm sure a night fight would be pretty cool and I hope to do it some day but, it seems like something for the events arena.

Gamma? Gamma is a good example of the many many aspects of AH. There is so much to learn and so many things to do, so many different settings...

AH is a great game I am having a ton of fun dispite the fact I get killed 10 times for every kill I log. I'm looking forward to making time to tag up with a trainer which is another cool feature of AH, they have people willing to be traniners!

Night flight, sure it would be cool just offer it in another arena.

Try Widewing, TC or Silat. Others may teach you to run and bail which is not a good thing for you or AH. These three can help you immensely.

Never called a new guy a dweeb.  New and dweeb are two different things.  As you will be finding out soon, most dweebs have been in the game for years ;)

if you're sitting in front of a pc discussing cartoon airplanes, or playing a game involving them, you're a dweeb.

Night would probably run off more customers then it would gain, and irritate more than it would benefit. While night was a novelty, and I enjoyed it as such, numbers typically plummeted, and I need other people in cartoon planes to shoot at. If night means fewer of them, I have to vote against it.
