Thanks guys for the help.
It seems that the latest ATI drivers for the Radeon 9200 have a problem. I removed them and installed the ones that come in the Catalyst software suite 4.12 (file name: wxp-w2k-ccc-8-082-041130a-019577c-english.exe) and that corrected my problem.
