Keyboard throttle
« on: August 23, 2005, 05:15:08 PM »
For some reason my throttle keys  "-" and "=" don't work on my keyboard.

Sometimes I like to use them rather than my joystick throttle.

Are they automatically disconnected when the JS is pligged in? Is there a way to turn them back on?

Thanks for any help.

I believe when an actual throttle is detected the keyboard ones don't work.
Try actually removing the throttle from joystick>settings and then adding the keys in keymapping. It's one or the other though. I suppose you couold add the keystrokes and see how it works.

I unplugged the JS. In fact, since my post I had to format my HD and start all over. Had some weird stuff going on with other programs so I just decided to wipe everything out and start from scratch.

Anyway I thought this would be a good chance to see if my keyboard throttle keys work without ever having hooked up a JS.
They still don't work even with no JS.

The only throttle that works is the mouse wheel. I even tried a USB keyboard instead of the PS2 KB I usually use, and still, no go. I checked my keyboard mapping and everthing looks good. i haven't tampered with it.

This is a brand new HD (same as) with a brand new AH install, with no JS connected and my throttle keys don't work.

Anyone else had this problem before?

Thanks.

Seeing the game recognizes the mouse as throttle you might still need to remove that in the setup. As you can tell I'm sort of guessing or trying to come up with a direction to go. It seems once a throttle of any type is detected the keyboard commands for it are removed or become non-functional.
