Last night I took off looking for a fight. As I got airborne in my
LA-5, I bring up my map and what do I see, but a rather large DAR over A1. I get on my squad channel and find out there is a big fight going on there, so off I go to A1.
Rolled in on target and get an Il-2. BAMM!!! His wing is gone, turn and extend out over the water and look around. LA-7 diving on my squadie so I role in on him. Quick deflection shot, and a moment later I get the assist. COOL!!!!
Check my six and here comes an F4U diving on me. I break left, roll 180 degrees, and pull back to the right. Yeah he over shoots. Uh Oh tunnel vision on the F4U. He heads straight to the field and I'm following him looking for the shot to end it. Didn't notice all the little black dots on the ground. All of a sudden the field lites up like a Christmas Tree. Holy Crap!!!!! Must be 10-20 flakers down there, and they are all looking at me!!!!!!
I hear one loud bang and I'm in the tower.
Now I'm mad:mad: Time to up some B-26's with 100lbrs and go carpet bomb that base and kill me some ground pounders. Climb out to 10K, cal the site and head in to target.
Target in site but wait. All the flakers are gone???? Well what to do...hold it whats that? 1...2...3 fighters on the runway getting ready to take off. OK Uber move coming up:D I'm going to carpet bomb the runway and kill these guys...yeah thats what I'm going to do. Get the line up, cross hairs on the planes below me and bombs away!!!! Uh Oh they're moving, back into cal mode to watch. HEHEHE the 3 luckiest guys in the MA. The bombs were chasing them down the runway, but couldn't quite catch them. They all live. Well OK not that bad, it was an Uber move to begin with.
PING>>PING>>PING, crap whats that???? Jump in the tail gun just in time for my left drone to explode. What the??? SpitIX 400 behind low. I fire a burst and he comes apart...pay back for the drone!!!! More pings!!!! P-51 flys right over the top after a HO on my formation of planes. He turns and comes back from the left high posistion, but I'm waiting for him now. He makes a slashing attack, and I fire!!! Good hits all around the cockpit, and he's smoking bad. A few seconds later I see the chute as he bails out.
Check around my plane and no more cons. I'm smoking on #2 and leaking fuel pretty bad, but I think I can make it home. Check damage and my planes looks like swiss cheese.
Make it to base on one engine, no flaps but I get it on the ground in one piece.
