Auto level is jerky
« on: August 31, 2005, 02:23:17 AM »
If I am in a slight to moderate dive, Auto-level brings the nose up in a series of bump moves. The nose rises a few degrees then stops then rises then stops until the plane levels. Should it not just rise to level smoothly?
I thought I was important until I got Cancer and had to go to a cancer clinic.

To be more specific. Auto level will try to level you as quickly as possible but it's not always smooth. It first tries very violently to pull up or push down the nose. Then it will examine the flight profile and adjust from there. It's really not a good idea to hit autolevel unless your are fairly close to level flight. In some planes being drastically out of level flight and hitting auto-level can cause a dangerous flat spin. Use your controls to bring your plane into level flight and then his auto-level. It's much safer and much smoother.
