See page 1 in Windsock Datafile #24. A4192 sometime in mid 1917 had the name
Spitfire
applied to the starboard fuselage just above the oil tank filler point.

oldest design papers for whats known as the dweebfire ,,, hmm excuse me..spitfire were dated Feb 18 , 1927
