CPU Voltages

I'm not overcloked, and I don't want to be. :D

What is considered a good voltage? My 3.3 sits around 3.4, my 5 at 5.1, and my 12 at 12.113 . Sometimes they go a little below, say down to 3.29 or 11.990 .

they are fine voltages.

Older systems (early socket A, and P3 style pcs) use 5volts for CPU voltage regulation, this means that under full load the 5volt line sometimes drops to around 4.7-4.8. Due to the 12volt line being linked to the load, the PSU will try and compensate for the voltage drop on the 5volt line, which means the 12 volt line might rise to 12.5-13 (13volts is really bad PSU.......)

New systems (all P4's, late socket A and all A64) use 12volts for CPU voltage regulation, and means the oposite of above, the 12volt line might drop to 11.7ish (any lower and its a problem) and the 5volt might increase as the PSU trys to keep the voltages right.

My socket A system at full load shows 4.7volts and 12.5volts.
My socket 754 and 939 systems show 5volts and 11.9volts
my 939 system with a Dual core shows 5.2 and 11.7volts... cos its very very high load....plus the 7800gtx sucking up power.

Ya i just had to buy a new power supply for my system.its been unstalbe the last 2 weeks with random reboots.  every thing checks out fine but when i use the ASUS PROBE and watch the voltages its bad.

the 5v line dipped to 4.6 at times and never gets to 5v   the 3.3v line is alway under and dips to 3.20.   the rails look like a saw blade. - so im waiting for my new supply from MWave for $80 i got a good 480W antec.

but im off to Vegas for the week to work the G2E casino gaming convention.  (cant try the new one till after next friday).
