Funky Sound Issue - HELP!!!

I can't hear behind me.   It matters not what I am in, I have no sound to the rear.....  Even if I am in an Ostie, and rotate the turret to the "rear", I stop hearing my own gun firing.

Same with field guns, etc.....

Same with vehicle noise, etc...

HELP!

is your hardware accelaration  turned down to 3/4....if its lower than that could give you some probs as well as if its turned up on full

Check your speaker setup in Windows and make sure it is set to 2 speaker and not a surround setup.

When I reformatted the harddrive, the sounds were reset to something other than two speaker.

That fixed it.
