Better smoke effects

When I destroy any object with HE or bombs, it should smoke as it burns, heavily.

For example a ship buring:


Drunks in a LVT approaching a burning airfield:


A port being attacked (Pearl Harbour):


Burning fuel dump:


And the smoke should raise a lot higher in the air too.  Sometimes it acts as a target marker.

How low would you like your framerates to drop? Would 0.5 fps suffice or would you like it even worse?
