a 75mm HE shell from a tank impacting on the trunk should leave only the stump standing. Assuming your not shooting 300 foot tall 30 foot diameter redwoods.

Half a dozen 20mm shells should accomplish pretty much the same thing.

Not possibe on current technology.  Think of how many trees are on a mab, now consider having to track and update the status of all those trees and get the data to the rquired clients.  That puts a lot more bandwidth strain on the whole system.

Why capture a base when you can just build your own?

Would permanently eliminate the argument about fields being too far apart.

Then you could add  seedlings and Miracle Grow bombs ( perked, of course )  to the C47 to reseed an enemy airfield.

I'm not talking about redering them.  I am talking about sending the data about which trees are dead to each and every client in the area and sending the data about when they respawn.  It is more data to send and people already complain about lag.  It is also a rather large number of objects for the database to track as destroyed or not.

At no time to you see all the trees on the map.  Just the ones in your ground view radius.  That significantly reduces the amount of tree data to be transferred in the bandwidth.
