Overall a very fun and immersive game, I had a good time learning all the different engine functions and using the clickable cockpit.

+
-Much more immersive than AH when not ACMing. But the realistic tracers and other features such as a more realistic damage/graphics model make B17II seem more more 'real' than AH.
-Nice tracers
-Sweet terrain
-Good (but different) graphics
-Nice damage graphics/model
-Clickable cockpits
-ACCURATE 109 cockpit
-Nice cockpit art all around.
-Interesting view system, padlock combined with pan view, have to learn how to use both to truly be effective. Quite challenging.

Bad AI

Not such a spectacular FM, but its good enough to have a fun time.

Very quick reponse to stick movements.

No wingmen commands.

No view system as good as AHs.

B17II is a fun game, a nice alternative when a bit bored of AH's repetitiveness.

About that accurate 109 cockpit... theres no fuel tank switch toggle
try releasing drop tank sometime, then wonder how to get fuel into the engine again... without AI.

but more than that, I like sound of 109's engine.
They're actually using 4 different wavs for each engine
...thats something what AH should have.

but i do have some grips about damage model..

Tracers are nice but they seem too infrequent to me. Something like 1 for everyt 10-15 shot fired.

Terrain is quite good actually. When I compared it to maps of the time the rivers, rails and roads actually seemed quite right (just did a quick test with the part of Denmark that is visible)

Graphics. I dislike the lack of ground objects. Everything looks ok from altitude because of bump mapping, but if you get low you just have flat terrain without objects.

Its nice how yo are able to see bullet holes in the models.

Cockpit. Yes very nice. The best I have seen in any released sim so far. But the fact that there are several options that just can't be handled by pressing the keyboard but that you have to use the awkward view system (change to pan view, scroll down, press on the cockpit with mouse, press keyboard to get back to normal view)

"Not such a spectacular FM, but its good enough to have a fun time."

The 15000+ ft/min climbs for all fighters and the fact that for instance the 109 do 360 degree roll faster than the 190 at 400 mph actually make my fun in the fighters very small. As long as you stay in the bomber you don't really notice this tho.
