Anyway of setting up AH
« on: September 16, 2005, 08:02:41 AM »
I know AH has it's own programming utility for joysticks, I've tried, but I cannot seem to be able to make AH recognize anthing more than 1 joystick's worth of buttons.

Hopefully, I can use AH in this way, and I'd rather anyway as there is a slight delay with the CH control software.

edit: I have a CH Prothrottle, CH Propedals, and a CH Fighterstick.

Generally, it only reads the whatever stick is listed first on the joystick list.

I'm confused... that didn't help and wouldn't that only affect the axis of the joysticks and not the buttons?

Delirium when you are in setup joystick you have to assign each button to the joystick or throttle. I'm not at home right now so I can't look at exactly how to do it but it was pretty easy once I figured out what I had to do. I recomend that you do not use the CH control manager program I had nothing but problems trying to use it in AH and finally ended up deleting it. I do know that others who fly AH use it and don't have any problems with it. If you still can't get your buttons set up post again here and I will see if I can help you out when I'm home and able to look at exactly how I set my CH gear up in AH. I should be home around 5:00pm pdt.

I'm still not having any luck...

For example, when I 'set all buttons' to the Throttle and set up the buttons I want on that and then switch to the Fighterstick, it won't recognize any buttons I press on it unless I hit 'set all buttons' for the Fighterstick. Then it gets the buttons confused, as if it is reading what I set up for the throttle...

Thanks for the help in advance.

Delirium,

Try pluggin in first the Fighterstick by itself, configure it in windows and AH.

Then plug in the throttle, configure it in windows and AH,

And finally the rudder..

Just an idea... think theres a bunch of threads on this if you do a message board search.

I'll try unplugging and replugging.

I also tried to do a search before posting... unfortunately, anything less than 4 letter words are not accepted for a search; CH and MAP can't be searched for.

Silat helped me, e-mailed me his stick set up (he has the same CH stuff as I do) and finally I was able to program.

Thanks for the help regardless, gents. :)
