Hmm.  I've been trying to think how this can be exploited.  Every single perk point is just as difficult to earn for every single player (excluding experience).  It ain't like an MMORPG game where a high level player can just hand a frickin awesome sword to a lowbie.

I see no problem with it.

Perk points for sale on eBay. Real and bogus.

I don't think HiTech would like that much at all. Although that's just my impression of the man, I could be wrong but I don't really think so.

PErkies are strange things -- by the time you have enough to spend them freely, you're good enough that you're often more interested in the older rides.

If they could be given away, would it change the play balance? interesting thought...

Here's something that might work -- what if you could buy a ride for a friend, but you had to be there to click the button? Kinda like the "join" box used to be...Would let you share the unused wealth, and would let newer squaddies join in perk plane missions, for example. Since you have to be online to do it, would it prevent many of the abuse scenarios?

Just because you can give them away, doesn't mean everyone will be giving them away.

I think that squads would find it useful. Maybe missions as well.

It could be a tool to get newbies more interested in team playing.

Start up an Me262 mission and a new guy joins.  Throw him some points so he can tag along.
