Shoot I gotta spend a $100 on gas just to get to some hills worth climbing.

Flat ground + it's all clay. No drainage.

I live in the Richmond/Rosenberg area. Our son attends WCJC, so he'll be leaving there soon, since Wharton, TX is pretty much on the projected storm path. But our home should be fairly safe from flooding, therefore we're planning on staying put.

Good luck to all of you in Texas. There's still a chance the storm could go into Mexico, but it is definitely gonna affect the Texas coast. On another forum someone quoted Jay Leno last night "do you think this is a good time to take "under God" out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

Best thing that could happen aside from returning to sea, is to hit NO again..

I think I know what you mean and why you say that, but contrary to what you see on CNN and the evening news, New Orleans is not totally destroyed. Another cat4 could double the economic damage to New Orleans.

But imagine how many less lives would be effected?

Either way, it isnt' gonna be good..
