Skin Question

I know this is such a newbie question (s) but ...
Why would I want to dl a skin? Can I use it in game and if so why wouldnt it be with the normal skin dl in the hanger? Or is that where it goes? I am guessing that this is where new skins come to get the ok to go in, but should I dl them here or wait till they come out in game?

Also does the same apply for the sounds?

Not all skins are in game.  Those that submit them and are accepted in game are the only ones that you can use online.  Some skins are either not submitted or not accepted and are not included in the in-game download.

The sounds are another thing all together...

I would highly recomend downloading one of the sound packs... The sounds from the game are fine, but the dedicated sound packs make a huge impovment when it comes to the emersion factor of the game!  

And of course they will work both on and off line.

My personal faves are the Waffle and Mitsu sounds... I'm running waffles at the moment, but i'm not sure if they're avaliable right now, so you'll have to check.
