Regular power stations.  Solar satellites are nice, until you're attacked, and then they're fodder and your power takes a hit.

You don't need as much deut in the begining.  When you start raiding and probing you need it.  Deut powers your ships.

It took me 65K of deut just to send my 192 ship fleet from galaxy 1 to galaxy 3 at 100% speed.

The lower the speed your ships travel at the more efficient their engines are the less deut you need.

After you start researching you'll build a fudion plant instead of solar.  This burns duet to creat power.  It's cheaper and better efficient than solar plants, but you need the solar in the begining.

You'll spend it quick.  It's enough to get all your mines were they need to be without much downtime.

When you are just starting to make Deuterium be careful and not select Galaxy or you will burn up most of your newly made resource. I was up to 68 and lost most of it looking around in the Galaxy.

Thanks for that getting started link earlier. It's a little difficult trying to figure out what to do when starting out. I suppose I'm just building resources for now.

So far I'm at...

Metal 8
Crystal 2
Deut 1
Solar 6

Guess I'm gonna build another Metal and a Solar next.

So, Guns, can I take your lack of a response as your answer, or did you just miss my post? :)
