For you guys first time raiding. Make sure you only attack another planet at the most of 3 times a day. Any more and you can be banned for bashing.

After having read about the newbie protection i noticed that i can be attacked by people that have about the same points as myself.

I opted to buy one rocket launcher to protect myself from other newbs that sends a transport to rob me. Was that a good thing to do, or a wast at this point?

Its already done, so I wontt change it, but maybe some other newbies here needs that info from you vets.

Im off to bed while the the rocket launcher gets buildt.

If anyone wanna send me some met, cryst or deut tonight then feel free :D

All I need is some duet. If anyone has some of it laying around it would be awesome. If fine on everything else though.  Actually only like 2000-3000 is all I need

I built rocket launchers also, better safe then sorry

Not really, if you select the resources it will take the resources from you and load it onto your ships. If you selected attack and you have your resources loaded on your cargo's can only take what ever remaining space is left from the planet you are attacking. I only load my resources on if I am attacking someone and have plenty of space left for whatever is on the planet, fleetsaving or when I'm sending resources to a colony...at this point you should not really limit the space that your cargo's can take in the attack and keep your resources at home, you will quickly pile up some ships once you start raiding full time.

Nils,

You can't pick and choose what amount of res. you want to snag in a raid all you do is select "attack" instead of deploy and transport.

On attacks you can only take 50% of what the guy has of EACH of his res.

IE

If you attack a guy with a 3 large cargo (cappacity 75k) and he has:
Metal 10000
Crystal 10000
Deut 1000

No matter how many ships you send you will only get

This is why a three wave attack is preffered.  You send three waves (of how ever many ships) a few minutes apart and you haul more loot than 3 ships together because you can only take HALF for each attack.

Were as a three WAVE attack (one L Cargo per wave)  on the same target would get this:
Wave1 M 5000 C 5000 D 500.
Wave2 M 2500 C 2500 D 250
Wave3 M 1250 C 1250 D 125

Total    M 8750 C 8750 D 875

Vrs 3 ship attack of M 5000 C 5000 D 500.

I'm already in AH2 on Uni-2 and SMT in Uni-7.  Since my wife wouldn't be able to get in (on Uni-7) due to the "know something about AH" requirement, I just wanted to put word out if any of you have friends who want to join the fun but can't get in AH2, send them my way.  I put on my alliance screen that I would accept apps from players with AH2 recommendations only.  Alternately, if you can recommend us both to an ally for membership, that would be as cool or cooler.  As I mentioned before, we both are TW/MerchW experienced, and we both play every day, so they wouldn't be gaining a couple of slouches.

Stupid question... Is there a quicker way to find somebody's rank besides scrolling through the "Statistics" list?  There are a few candidates (unaligned, inactive) for raiding in my sector.  And with any luck, I'll be able to start in a couple of days (thanks guys in Uni-2).

She's a megalomaniac... if controlling an entire planet or more isn't involved, it's beneath her.  She can almost whip me at Civ3.  She is a former jarhead though, so anything is possible...

cruisers = 20k metal + 7k crys
