Gack...posted in the O'Club instead of here (oops)

The Citation II movie mentioned in the thread "Show us your airports" or something similar to that title.

Movie Link

Right click and "save target as" is the way this goes...save some bandwidth for my buddy hosting it.  Thanks!

Twas the Burgh.  Good eyes.  What gave it away, the stadium?

I'm working on a new movie that is a little more fast paced (shorter flight segments) with shots of taxi, takeoff, cruise, descent, gear/flaps and landings.  I'm curious to know how the night segments looked on everyones individual computer.  I know its different for everybody and welcome any feedback on anything.

I pick it apart every time I see it...

overzealous rotation on the first takeoff, donk the first landing and swing and a miss on the centerline for the night landing.  I need to clean up my act if I'm going to clean up the video :)

Naaa, It was PPG Building, and the Three Rivers Point.  I have been over the Fort Pitt Bridge to many times not to know that point.

Night time looked great, actually gave me a idea, but I don't have have that sim.  Something like Dino in the background, while flying over Vegas at night time. If you could do that.

P.s.  You really have to crop that fraps.com out of the picture.  Another suggestion, try capturing at 12fps then when the final render up it to 24fps. Might help with the coppiness in the film.

Great video, Golfer.  :)

The night shots were dark until I moved my "brightness" slider in Windows Media Player just right of center.

Will show this one to my brother.  Lucky son-of-a-gun flies that bird.

P.S.: Just a thought about turning off the icons of the other a/c when filming.  Only my 2 cents.

Fraps are there because I'm lazy.  I thought I cropped them all out and didn't until after I rendered it and mailed it off to be hosted.  I use the free fraps so the .wmv files are on the order of 800MB for 30 seconds.  I wound up deleting them once I made it so I can't just re-do it.

The next one is going to be better...I'll actually spend time on it :)

The ILS approach in the "Airports" thread took less than an hour from thought to finish and emailed...this one took me a few hours to record and then edit to make the music fit right.

Las Vegas at night is very neat...the Luxor even has the spotlight shining up into the sky and you can see all the specific major casinos!  I'll see if I can throw a flyby together for you to see.

Enduro:
I'll be heading off to Citation school in a few months it looks like (As is the progression from my part 91 gig now moving to a 135).  I won't be typed until my first recurrent next summer (Don't meet the minimum age for an ATP Certificate  ;) )  I'm looking forward to burning some jet fuel and being paid to do it rather than riding as an ornamental monkey on maintenance flights.

I'm happy for you, Golfer.  :)  Yea, I wish I had that kind of opportunity when I was younger.  But, go as far as you can, man!

My brother quit a good job to go back into flight training--thankfully, with his wife's support.  And, my brother hasn't regretted those hard, poor days one bit ever since.

(was going to attach a pic of my brother's plane, but Picture Hangar is acting kind of funny this morning.  emailed Saw about a fix.)

It should have happened sooner but the FO who was to upgrade to Captain didn't make it through their protocol which means that their experience just isn't quite there.  So my vacancy went uncreated :)  Here's too next week...cheers!

Thanks for the kind words.
