LOL. Kinda dissapointing really.. kids like 'em, but frankly asides from cowing some helpless sheep or wigging out anti-gun types a baynoet adds nothin to the utility of a weapon. If yer adversary got that damned close, then yah messed up big time.

Don't get too hung up on vintage US arms. Garands are sweet, but way overpriced. A lil commie martyr SKS is 1/10 the price, there's 5 million or more of 'em here in the US. And the ammo is plentiful, a bout a dime per round for AP, HP or SP. You can even get tracers for it. Sparks up gouging gas stations quite nicely. :D

And it has a fold down attached bayonet. If yer inta herding sheep.

CMP has good field grades for under $400. The US service grades looked sweet but I missed the boat on those. I'm going to try and get a field grade before they dry up, though I still have to get my paperwork filled out, notarized and submitted.

Yeah, I got 2 Danish Issue Garands for 425 each.  They were beautiful before we cleaned em up.  After they were frickin gorgeous.  I'd say we could easily sell them for 1000-1200 .

Let me see if I can dig up a picture.

Crud, I downloaded too much.  The U has restricted my bandwidth and I don't have the time to get it up.

Remind me later and I'll show you some pics of my guns and garands.

garrands are great rifles... they are not at all overpriced in todays market but...

The silly rules are what are driving the prices.

It is a shame really that in order to own and shoot a piece of history like the BAR or Thompson that you have to be a wealthy man and get expensive permission from people who aren't worthy to carry your ammo case.

20-50k for a gun that anyone could buy for a few dollars before the 1934 gun act.   they could still be had for less than $500 before the 68 gun act but you had to get permission from the idiots to own one...

this is how you incramentaly take away rights... you regulate em to death.
