its photoshopped to make it sharper and the hit sprites look better that is all.

The hit sprites to get like that I simply used the burn and dodge tool and literally burned the **** out of it. Beyond that, I didn't use any airbrushing or crap like that. Coloring on the hits I didn't mess with either.

I just signed myself up on the site http://www.screenshotart.com to perfect my technique. Some of the composites they have there are rediculous. But i'm not planning on any composite work - but just to get ideas of whats out there. ITs a good knowlege base.
